At night I went out and adventured downtown LA with Rebecca. Ate at Guisados-- *Janice voice* OH my gawd...the tortillas were the best tortillas I've ever eaten. Before tonight, Los Agaves in Santa Barbara had the best tortillas, but Guisados topped it. They have a thick thick, handmade corn tortilla...it was the highlight for me lol. They're even non-gmo! I got the sampler with 6 different meats: steak picado, bistek en salsa pioja, tinga de pollo, mole poblano, chicarron, and cochinita pibil. They were all good. I would come back again. Their horchata is also really good--not watered down at all. You can even add a shot of Stumptown Coffee espresso to make it a dirty horchata! I wish they could sell their tortillas in bulk though.....
Stepped inside a gallery by an artist named Todd and we had the pleasure of listening to him explain his art to us. Took a stroll around the area, saw many many new and trendy bars. Really reminded me of the Greenwich village in New York. We went up to the rooftop at the Ace Hotel and then called it a night.
